I took a little hiatus from Tumblr for a few weeks, but SO much has been going on!
Background info; My parents got divorced when I was 5 & my dad started dating a woman named Cheryl shortly after that. They got married when I was 8 & had my little sister Jianna when I was 9.
My mother is a very strong Christian, my father believes but he himself will say he isn’t a Christian because he knows he doesn’t follow Gods word & my stepmom is an atheist. I was always very worried that my little sister would take after her mother & don’t get me wrong, her mother is one of the most amazing women in the world, but that won’t stop her from going to Hell. I wanted my sister & my father & my stepmom to come to Christ & be saved.
So when I was 14 my dad, as he always does, cheated on my stepmom again & she divorced him. I maintained a very close relationship with Cheryl & my sister.
About 2 years ago my little sister started begging to come to church & now she comes every single Sunday. She is an 11 year old on fire for Christ. I never invite her, I always allow her to ask because I do not want to push God on her, so I know her desire & faith is real. The last few Sundays she’s even started to put her hands up during worship ahaha it’s so adorable. I really thank God for answering my prayer to save my sisters soul. The weight of the worry I had has been lifted & it made me fall in love with Christ all over again.
Yesterday, I went to an archery course with Cheryl & you know what she said to me?! She said, “I really wanted to come to church with you guys last Sunday.” I had to hide my excitement so I didn’t freak her out ahaha. God is drawing her to Him!!! He is so amazing. So faithful to His people. I will never stop praying for my non believing family members & I have a renewed faith in His ability to bring them to Him. I am definitely going to invite her to church on Sunday ahaha. I am so happy & am so in love with Christ. I had to tell you all ahaha.
I hope this gives some encouragement to those of you praying for family members or friends who don’t believe. God Bless (:
I don’t know everything in/about the bible, & I won’t even pretend like I do. But there are some things that I myself have studied vastly & learned a lot of detailed information about. & I try so hard to not get annoyed, but it erks me so badly when someone tries to argue with me on a subject that I know for a fact I am right about. Especially when they admit that they only know what they know because they “heard it somewhere”. When I have heard sermons, read the scripture, spoke to my stepdad who is an elder in church AND read commentaries on the subject. Like don’t say you wanna have a discussion when you refuse to admit that you’re wrong. Don’t bother speaking to me ahaha. Ugh. Okay, venting made me feel 100% better.
